A Higher Calling

How can you mix medicine with ministry? How can you heal the heart and mend the soul at the same time? How can you find the passion to serve patients in one community and travel the world preaching the Good News?
Such is the calling, the vision, and the life of Samuel Kojoglanian, MD, FACC, aka Dr. Sam, the interventional cardiologist practicing as the Mender of Hearts, and the founder and president of the Beacon of Hearts Ministries, Inc., a 501c3 organization, delivering dynamic messages that changes lives.
Dr. Sam’s undeniable calling is to heal hearts, complimented with an even higher calling to mend souls, solely by God’s grace. His medicine is ministry, and his ministry is medicine. Utilizing the platform of medicine, Dr. Sam presents the Word of God in a vibrant way, showing that God’s Word is relevant, reliable and restorative. Dr. Sam states, “The Word of God is not only compatible with science, but it is far advanced compared to science.”
By sharing Christ’s love, the Beacon’s mission is found in Isaiah 61:1, bringing hope to people’s broken hearts and shining the true light in their dark circumstances.  The Beacon presents life-altering messages through Dr. Sam’s speaking engagements, video tracts on the BeaconOfHearts.org website, and numerous books, including the latest Absolute Hope, written by the founder.
With tours around the world, such as his recent travels to Buenos Aires, Argentina and visits closer to home, such as San Luis Obispo’s California Men’s Colony, Dr. Sam is witnessing firsthand peoples’ hearts respond to the hope of God’s enduring Word. Dr. Sam’s 1-minute bullet sermons are heard daily on KKLA radio, 99.5 FM, the nation’s largest Christian radio station, with messages to edify, encourage and embolden the listener. God willing, this vision will expand to television in 2014.
The Beacon’s first annual banquet was launched with phenomenal success on November 14, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency in Valencia, with more that 325 people witnessing its heart and mission!
The vision is clear. The time is now. The excuses are over. The Spirit of God calls and Dr. Sam humbly goes, with his life’s mission that is incorporated into the very heartbeat of the ministry: “Healing Hearts, Mending Souls, and Rocking the Planet for Christ.”
